What are Devotions?

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops describes devotions as "expressions of love and fidelity that arise from the intersection of one's own faith, culture, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ"

EWTN offers resources and explanations on many devotions and how to pray with them.

Encounter Mary, St. Joseph and the Rosary

Monthly Series (May-October)

All are welcome to nurture their relationship with Mary and the Rosary.  On or near the 13th of each month between May and October, we reflect on our Lady’s messages at Fatima, enjoy real life stories from our guest speakers and hear personal miracles about faith and the power of praying the Rosary.  We begin each talk by praying the Rosary together as a group.  As Mary urges us to pray the Rosary daily to obtain peace in our families and around the globe, this series is ideal for those who have a devotion to the Rosary, those who have prayed it in the past and for those who have not yet discovered the Rosary in their prayer life.  In other words, it’s ideal for everyone!

Rosary for America

Annually in the Fall in the Church

The Patriotic Rosary resulted from a Thanksgiving Day (1988) vision of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in Alabama, to Marija, the visionary from Medjugorje. The prayers of the Patriotic Rosary include quotes from our Founding Fathers, patriotic songs, and a remembrance of each of the 50 states. This special prayer for the consecration of our nation is recited to its Patroness, 2-3 times a year.  Questions?  Contact Pat Dokler (216) 543-7745
