METRO

Wednesday May 28th Metro 7pm will feature Paul Bennett.  Paul was born and raised in Lakewood, Ohio.  He attended Lakewood High School, Wittenberg University and the University of Michigan Law School.  He joined the law firm of Baker + Hostetler in 1973 and practiced there as an associate and then as an equity partner until he was in his 50s.  Paul is a recovering alcoholic, sober since January of 1987.  In his pursuit of recovery he had a significant spiritual experience which changed his life.  His pursuit of God thereafter led him quickly to a regenerative Christian experience.  He joined Bay Presbyterian Church, became a member of the Board of Deacons and of the Board of Elders.  In 1998 he converted to Roman Catholicism.  Being a lawyer, he started to ask tough questions about some of the things he was being taught, eventually leading him to read St. Augustine and other Church Fathers.  His story is a great one to share with anyone you know who thinks that they’re too broken by addiction to ever be healed by God!  He has been married to his wife Jane for 26 years.  He has children from previous marriages and is very close to them and his five grandchildren, the lights of his life.
