The Worship Commission’s role is to enhance the liturgical and worship ministries of the parish, and to encourage participation in parish worship, liturgies and devotions.

Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir sings at the 11:00am Mass on Sundays and is present for special celebrations throughout the year. The Chancel Choir is a diverse group of parishioners, of all ages, who focus on a wide array of liturgical music that spans the spectrum of our Catholic musical tradition. Contemporary Choir

Eucharistic Ministers
Eucharistic Ministers are men and women of the parish who assist with the distribution of Holy Communion during daily and Sunday liturgies. They also bring the Eucharist to the sick and the homebound.

Lectors
Lectors are blessed to proclaim the Word of God during Mass and other liturgical celebrations. It is also the responsibility of the lector, in the absence of a deacon, to read the petitions at Mass and to inform fellow parishioners of any parish announcements prior to the start of Mass.

Liturgy
At Saint Raphael Church we care very deeply about how we celebrate the liturgical life of the Parish. We strive to embody the power and presence of the Holy Spirit in each and every liturgical celebration. Our focus is to keep our prayer vibrant and alive. We strive to achieve full, active, and conscious participation in all of our celebrations. Our liturgies encourage us to become the Body of Christ for the world and each other.

Marthas
The Marthas are a voluntary group of over 40 women who care for the sacristy needs. Their duties consist of cleaning, laundry, sewing, decorating, and set up of weekend Masses, weddings and funerals.

Sacristans
These parishioners prepare the sacred vessels, wine, hosts, and other liturgical items before and after Mass.

Altar Servers
Our altar servers provide the parish with assistance in liturgical celebrations. Students that are in the 6th grade and higher are eligible to be an altar server. Adults may be altar servers at 7:00pm Mass and at funeral liturgies.

Ushers
Ushers are parishioners who serve the parish by assisting those attending Mass. Duties include: preparation for the Offertory presentation of gifts, collections, facilitating the distribution of Communion and distributing the bulletins after Mass. They also assist in emergency situations.

Children's Choir
The Children’s Choir sings one Sunday a month and is open to third through eighth graders from both Parish School of Religion and Saint Raphael day School. They also sing at First Holy Communion each May. If interested in joining the Choir, please contact the Parish Office at 871-1100 or by email.
