Basketball

Offered for boys and girls grade 4-8 with practices starting the first week of November. All children who register are placed on a team. The season runs from December until March. Practices are held at several gyms in Westlake, Bay Village (including St. Raphael) and Avon 2-3 times per week. Practice days and times for an individual team will vary from week to week based on gym time availability and will be posted weekly on the parish website. Games are held on Saturdays or Sundays at various locations on the west side of Cleveland. In grades 4-6 teams are set up with equal talent and height with an emphasis on development. No league standings are kept but teams can enter 2-3 tournaments. In grades 7-8, teams are set up as A/B based on talent and skill. League standings are kept and teams can enter 2-3 tournaments in addition to regular season games. 8th grade teams have a city-wide tournament at the end of the season.

Wrestling

Open to boys grades 1-8 to allow boys to compete against other boys of equal size while improving their own athletic and discipline skills. Practices start in November and run through February and are held twice a week at Bay High School. Meets are held at west side parish and suburban schools on Saturdays and Sundays. Seventh and eighth graders compete in a cite-wide tournament at the end of the season.

A CYO Medical Form must be on file for each student athlete before they can participate in any practices. Only one form is required for the entire school year. Emergency Medical Forms, however, need to be filled out for each sport and submitted to the coach along with the registration form. To find these forms,
